Cuth McDowell
Cuth McDowellChairman
Cuth has 33 years of international experience in the oil and gas sector, having held a range of leadership positions in Exploration and Production.

He graduated in Technological Economics at Stirling University, and also completed the Programme for Executive Development at IMD in Lausanne.

Cuth began his career with BP where he held various commercial roles over 8 years. He then joined Clyde Petroleum plc, initially as Senior Economist, subsequently becoming Group Commercial Manager before Clyde was bought by Gulf Canada.

In 1997, Cuth joined Paladin Resources plc, where he served primarily as Finance Director. The company raised approximately £120million in 4 separate primary offerings before it was sold to Talisman Energy Inc. for approximately £1.2billion in 2006.

Cuth is currently a Non-Executive Director at Pitkin Petroleum and IGas Energy.

Simon Ball
Simon BallCEO
Simon has a background in sales and marketing within the IT sector (some 20 years) and in that time has been at the forefront of internet technology and its use for e-commerce (both B2B and B2C).

From 2002 to 2006 Simon was Commercial Director for Salmon Ltd, where he spent time developing insurance software business in the London Market insurance community advising and working closely with Insurers like Novae and Xchanging on defining IT/eBusiness and insurance software strategy, leaving to establish Coverzones.

Immediately after Coverzones, Simon carried out a number consulting assignments in the insurance industry completing work for Travelers and Locktons. He then took on the role of CEO of PowerPlace, an online Marketplace for Brokers with some parallels to the Quotall proposition.

Learnings from PowerPlace and the opportunity to get a detailed understanding of the regional Broker marketplace motivated him to leave PowerPlace to get Quotall off the ground.

Steve Sherlock

Steve is a marketer by training and profession and has worked in a variety of senior marketing positions for some of the best known, blue-chip brands in the financial services, travel and telecoms industries.

As head of the General Insurance marketing team at Prudential, Steve extended the brand into the Motor and Travel markets. He moved to Churchill when they acquired the Prudential GI business, and there he set up the Partnership Marketing division before taking the brand into Loans, Travel and Life insurance.

Steve joined Hiscox in 2004 to build the marketing function and launch the brand. The resultant campaign transformed the Hiscox business and won four industry awards for effectiveness.

Steve has been involved with online retail financial services since its inception in the late 1990′s and has been responsible for introducing and building the channel for a number of brands.

Steve joined Coverzones pre-go live and was responsible for all marketing including the user experience aspects of our insurance software. Since Coverzones, Steve has been consulting into the digital media, energy and insurance sectors.

Mike Camp
Mike CampDirector
Mike is a Chartered Accountant who has over 16 years experience as Finance Director in businesses across the wholesale, retail, distribution and consumer services industries. His finance roles have had a broad remit with an emphasis on the commercial and strategic contribution of the function.

Mike qualified as a CA in the London office of KPMG and was seconded to Bermuda for two years before leaving the accounting profession for a financial analyst position with Booker plc. Over a 12 year period he held Finance Director positions in three of Booker’s major subsidiaries and was also responsible during this period for two major systems implementations and a number of acquisitions.

In 2002 Mike joined the Consumer Division of RAC plc as Finance Director, as part of the team responsible for developing the RAC brand in new markets. Here he was involved with the formation of RAC Financial Services, and became an FSA Approved Person in respect of the RAC’s insurance broking business. As sponsor of the division’s strategic plan Mike oversaw the development of RAC’s plans to drive growth in e-commerce.

Following the acquisition of RAC by Norwich Union Mike became Finance Director and Company Secretary of AIM listed television shopping company Ideal Shopping Direct. His remit at Ideal embraced IT, e-commerce, investor relations, customer services and facilities as well as finance and legal affairs. Mike sponsored a complete systems renewal project whilst at Ideal and carried out a major strategic review of the business.

Mike brings to Quotall great breadth of relevant experience both in terms of sector knowledge and functional management, and a clear understanding of the business processes required to deliver control and compliance through the growth of the business.

Craig Harper-Aston

An established leader in designing and implementing e-commerce strategies and ecosystems, Craig has led several enterprise-scale multi-channel implementations in both B2C and B2B sectors for brands including Argos, Boots, Game, Halfords, Selfridges, Morrisons and Habitat.

Craig has led the e-commerce team at Salmon (now Wunderman Thompson Commerce) since 2001, as Multi-Channel Director and Chief Delivery Officer, overseeing national and global eCommerce implementations.

Greg Roche

Greg joins Quotall with a proven track record in designing and implementing marketing strategies for a range of businesses across all media in both client-side and agency roles.

Greg has experience of the insurance industry dating back to 2003. He has run a variety of marketing projects for insurers such as AXA, and RSA, for a diverse cross section of the broking community, as well as a number of industry supply partners.

With six years personal experience of business ownership and management, Greg has a particular affinity with, and understanding of, the challenges facing SME businesses, their suppliers and customers.

Greg recognized, and engaged with, the numerous challenges and opportunities that come with the emergence of the digital environment at its inception, and has developed a strong understanding of how it can impact on businesses. His primary role with Quotall is to support broker partners using that knowledge and experience.
